Depending on the role you are applying for you may go through every step in our recruitment process or just a few.
Your first step is to complete the online application. As a tip, remember to address each of the requirements and criteria specific to the advertised position.
We assess each application individually and if you are successful in this first process we may invite you to a possible combination of 3 types of interviews:
- Phone screen
- Video screen
- Face to face interview
Our interviews are a mix of behavioural and technical but remember it is a two way street and you are interviewing us as much as we are interviewing you so don’t forget to come armed with questions.
You may be requested to complete some online testing, often this will involve a cognitive ability test, behavioural profiling or emotional intelligence test. You will complete the testing remotely so it is a good idea to find a nice quiet place where you can concentrate.
Background Check and Medical Check
Our final step is a background check and depending on the position you applied for you might be invited to complete a medical check before being offered a role.
Once we have all of your checks back we will be able to move to making an offer of employment to join the Metcash team.
To ensure a smooth transition to the Metcash team you will have a number of tasks and documents to read before day one. There will be an onboarding portal made available to you to keep you engaged and connected to your new team.
