Library Officer (Orders & Acquisition)

If you are looking for a role that combines frontline customer service with technical skills, this opportunity will appeal to you. We are looking for an energetic and highly organised individual, with a strong customer focus and exceptional interpersonal skills, to join our team of staff committed to providing high quality library experiences to the Boroondara community. This is a limited tenure full time position until 8 March 2020. Weekend and evening work is required as part of this role.
To be successful you need a relevant post-secondary qualification which confers eligibility for Technician membership of Australian Library and Information Association, library experience, preferably in a public library, a proven focus on outstanding customer service, knowledge of appropriate technical skills and high level computing skills.
Familiarity with and/or knowledge of relevant other language(s) and culture(s) plus awareness of the diversity of the community, excellent time management and interpersonal skills, are also integral to this role.
