At Mater we offer a range of programs for newly qualified nurses working across Mater's Mothers, Babies and Women's Health to cater to:
- those who have already identified their nursing/midwifery speciality
- those who haven’t yet identified their speciality areas of interest
- those who are just wanting more experience in a range of clinical areas
Each of our programs run for 12 months, with an opportunity to:
- working within our Neonatal Critical Care Unit in Intensive Care or Cardiac Surgical OR
- as part of our dual degree midwifery and nursing program

About you
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated nursing graduates who are excited to learn and develop within in a world class health care setting and who want to broaden their clinical knowledge though education, strong support, coaching and mentoring.
We are seeking candidates who have completed a Nursing, or Nursing and Midwifery dual degree within the past 12 months, and who have less than six months or 900 hours post-graduate nursing/midwifery experience.
We want to hear from you if you have a passion for nursing, and take pride in the care that you provide for others along with wanting to excel in your career.
What’s on offer
Positions are offered working 64 hours per fortnight on a permanent or fixed term basis. As part of our nursing staff you will be expected to participate in a rotational shift roster (including morning, evening and night shifts) on a 24/7 roster.

Selection Process
